Diane Betelak, NCMG, Heads and Tails Professional Dog Grooming
Diane Betelak, is a certifier for National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA). Diane has multiple Best in Shows and Best All-Around Groomer. She was on GroomTeam USA in 1996 and went to Milan, Italy, where she won Best in Show, which helped the USA team, which helped the USA team win the gold. Diane is the international grooming consultant for Andis. She has shown Standard Poodles in conformation and obedience since 1987.
Teri DiMarino CMG, NCMG, ISCCMS, DiMarino & Associates
Teri has owned successful salons and mobiles in Florida and California. Teri was a member of three GroomTeam USA Gold Medal teams. A multi Barkleigh Honors Award and Cardinal Crystal Award winner, Teri is a popular speaker and judge at seminars and trade shows across the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, Korea, China and Australia. Teri has written for all of the grooming industry publications, calling Barkleigh Productions home.
Betty Huang, Aishin Pet Grooming Salon
Betty Huang was born in Taiwan and has been involved in the grooming industry since 1993. She Attended Starwood Arts of Dog Grooming School in Thailand. Betty is known internationally for her creative grooming designs. She has spoken in seminars in China, Taiwan, and across Europe. Betty is the Owner/Founder of Aishin Pet Grooming Salon in Taiwan.
Judy Hudson, Grooming Tails Mobile
Judy Hudson, is owner of Grooming Tails Mobile Pet Grooming in Nashville, TN. Judy is a Certified Pet Tech Instructor, Multiple BIS Competitive Groomer, Award winning former Groom Team USA Member, International Pet Industry Speaker and Judge, as well as a Certifier for NDGAA and an Ambassador for Oster Professional Products.
Jennifer Lee, International Grooming Academy
Jennifer Lee, a member of the GroomTeam USA traveling team has won over 70 grooming awards, including the Best in Show at GroomExpo and multiple BIS and BAA awards. One of the highlights of her career was to win the Best in Show at GroomExpo with the title Groom Olympic World Champion. Lee is a USA and EGA All Round Judge and international speaker.
Umberto Lehmann, European Groomers Association
Umberto started his grooming career in 1980 and has won gold and silver medals in the USA, Europe and Canada in all competing classes. He was member of the Italian Team that won third place in the World Team Championship at Intergroom 1996. In 1987, Umberto received the Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Award as International Groomer of the Year. He has judged more than 120 International competitions and has done more than 200 demonstrations all over the world. He is currently President of the European Groomers Association and Organizer of MilanGroom and the Oster European Tournament.
Dawn Omboy, Klippers
Known to the Industry as “The Queen of Color,” Dawn brings both color and excitement to everyday grooming, with over 30 awards from her competition days she also holds 4 Cardinal Crystal Award nominations , 1 Barkleigh Award and 3 covers of Groomer to Groomer Magazine. She is an international Industry Speaker, Judge and Creative consultant.
Barbara Prueckel, Doggie Style Inc.
Prueckel began competing in 1996 and has won multiple Best in Show and Best All Around Groomer awards on three continents. She began her judging career in 2003 with the European Grooming association and has had the pleasure of speaking and judging in Canada, Brazil, USA, Japan, India, France, England, Italy, Belgium, and Germany. She enjoys sharing the knowledge she has gained from groomers worldwide.
Kathy Rose, Pets of Perfection
Kathy’s contest career garnered her a place on GroomTeam USA on four consecutive traveling teams. She is a lecturer and contest judge throughout the world. Kathy’s salon, Pets of Perfection, in Boynton Beach Florida, has adorned the cover of Groomer to Groomer Buyers Guide. Kathy is a regular columnist for Groomer to Groomer magazine.
Jay Scruggs, Here Comes the Groom Mobile
Jay owns Here Comes the Groom mobile in Tennessee. Jay has won multiple BIS and BAA awards. Jay was on the Gold Medal winning GroomTeam in 2001. He has won American Groomer of the Year 2001, Best All Around American Groomer at InterGroom 2002, Groomer of the Year Award at Westminster Dog Show in 2002 and GroomTeam 2003. Jay is National spokesperson for The Coat Handler and has his own line of scissors, JS Shears. He is also a Wahl Clipper Corp. representative. Jay has won two Barkleigh Honors.
Christine Speerin, The Grooming School
Christine Speerin is the owner of The Grooming School in Australia and a member of the first Australian Groom Team. Christine has judged regularly around the world since 2007. Her work has been featured on prime time television and mainstream print and she is a “Grooming Ambassador“ for Nestle Purina & Andis.
Collin Taylor, Colin Taylor Academy
Colin Taylor, ICMG, is an International Judge and Speaker, and founder of the Colin Taylor Academy. He has won many BIS and BAA Awards and was a member of GroomTeam USA for many years. Colin’s goal is to bring the same level of excitement and energy to the dog grooming industry worldwide that we have here in the USA. Colin is also the author of What Would Colin Do? 101 Situations and Solutions for Every Dog Groomer.

Melissa Verplank, with over 30 years of experience in the pet industry has won numerous awards on both national and international levels. She runs multiple businesses including: The Paragon School of Pet Grooming, a luxury boarding facility called Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa, White Dog Enterprises which created the award winning books, Notes From the Grooming Table and Theory of Five, plus Learn2GroomDogs.com, an online educational video library for pet grooming. She was a member of GroomTeam USA, later the Team Coordinator and sat on the Board of Directors. Ms. Verplank is an industry speaker, author, contest grooming judge and two time Cardinal Crystal Achievement winner and three time Barkleigh Honors Award winner.

Sue a NCMG, IPCMG and Member of Groom Team USA, has numerous competition wins including Intergroom’s International Groomer of the Year and Oster’s Invitational Grand Champion. Sue was the recipient of 7 Cardinal Awards, Spokesperson for Wahl Clipper Corporation, contest judge, speaker and demonstrator around the world. Sue and family breed Standard Poodles (“Dreamcatcher”) and own The Pampered Pet Grooming Salon in Paxton, MA. Sue has won two Barkleigh Honors.
